a stay-at-home Mom to 2 little boys and a Pomeranian

was a Travel Agent and traveled a lot for a few years before going
to College

College I worked as a Bookkeeper and then as a Co-op at IBM (where I
met my husband)

have a degree in Information Systems with a minor in Management

was married in November of 1994

I'm
3 years older then my husband (we're both mid-to-late
"thirty-something")

never dated a younger man before I met my husband

grew up in a small town in Central Pennsylvania

I
love small town living and I hope the little town I'm living in now
by and large stays that way!

Before
becoming a stay-at-home Mom I tested Software (and managed Source
Code/Configuration Mgmt and wrote Technical Docs)

My
husband is a Computer Programmer (Java)
-
I
adopted Lion (our Pomeranian) in Maryland in 1993 (she was born in
1993)
-
I
adopted my oldest son in December of 1999 in Samara Russia (he was
born in May 1999)
-
My
younger son's adoption was finalized in November of 2001 in
Guatemala City, Guatemala (he was born in July of 2001)
-
For
all adoptions we were open to a baby of either gender
-
I
am a Pecto-Ovo-Lacto Vegetarian (I eat fish, eggs and dairy but no
chicken, beef or other meats)

I
love drawing Computer Graphics with Paint Shop Pro and hope to get
better at it!

enjoy surfing around and seeing all the wonderful country graphics
out there - There are so many great artists out there who are
inspiring me to improve

I'm
Lutheran attending a Roman Catholic Church and taking RCIA Classes to likely become Roman Catholic

love Candles - Especially Grubby ones

love Quilts - Especially Wedding Ring quilts

enjoy reading fiction about Ancient Egypt (Suzanne Frank is one of my
favourite authors)

love quiet evenings at home

Tea with Lemon is my favourite drink

Turquoise
(think Caribbean Sea washing up on a white sand beach) is my favourite colour

Swimming
is my favourite thing to do in the Summer

Black-Eyed
Susans are my favourite flowers (I love orange roses too - I carried
them in my wedding)

I
can be extremely loyal if my trust and respect have been earned

I'm
not very out-going but can talk the ear off a close friend :-)

wish I had more patience (I'm not good at waiting, sitting in
traffic, etc.)

I'm
a HUGE animal lover and I'm especially fond of fluffy little doggies
(Pomeranians, Long-Haired Chihuahuas and the like)

It's
a dream come true for me FINALLY having children - I thank God every
day for them

In
many ways I believe my life has lead up to my becoming a Mom in the
unique way it has happened for me (via international adoption)

love music - Usually when I'm online or working on graphics I have
the 70s or 80s digital music station on cable on behind me (or
Fox News)

also like soft rock and light jazz music

love spicy food - The spicier the better!!!!

take too long in the bathroom but am getting much better about that

Right
now I don't wear much makeup but I'm a makeup junkie - I love makeup
:-)

I've found it's easy to have a "green
thumb in my new home. In my garden I'm growing cherry
tomatoes, regular tomatoes, string beans and on the patio Tom Thumb
Peas and various herbs! I love growing my own veggies!

In
addition to growing herbs - I like to take herbal baths, make herbal
vinegars and drink herbal teas ...

am an avid Figure Skating Fan!

I
like curling up in front of the fireplace with a nice fire
(especially to watch Figure Skating)

Peppermint
Stick Ice Cream with Hot Fudge is my favourite frozen treat in the
Winter and Orange Sherbet is my favourite in the Summer

Quiet
dinners alone with my husband are the best!

I
have fallen in love with Scrapbooking! One of my neighbors is
a Creative Memories Consultant and she has completely gotten me
hooked!

like to sleep-in but rarely get to these days

My latest craze on TV is "Poirot" -
I believe it's on A&E Biography. They are mainly very recently
done but the costumes and props are so period I love it - Plus,
there is nothing like a good "whodunnit"!!!

a Coffee Fiend - There is nothing like a good cup of coffee in the
morning - I like mine black!!!
